i’ve always hated this idea that because i’m young, my ideas on things don’t count as much because of my (assumed) lack of experience. like several people i hang out with online have 9/11 as the “defining moment” of their life. but i’m old enough that the fall of the berlin wall is pretty fucking huge. but does that mean that, omg, these people younger than me can’t possibly have an accurate assessment of the cold war or modern terrorism? fuck that shit. the more someone tells me i couldn’t possibly understand or thinks i owe them my life for their work years ago, the less i want to be involved and carry on a legacy.

as i’m becoming no longer the youngest person in a group, i have to remind myself not to do that.

i turned down sex thursday night because i was hungry. yes yes, i did. but i’m totally flirting with someone else who has learned pretty quickly i’m a slightly naughty girl. because i made a double entendre without really realizing it or intending. teehee.

life without internet at home has proven quite weird. i spend most of my time during the day out and not quite about. usually at the donut whole. wednesdays are at caffe posto. i hope to get internet (and tv) back someday. just depends how long i keep going without a job. though last weekend when i was in bellevue, i sold $200+ worth of necklaces! yay! and now that it’s fall, i should be able to sell some of these baby sweaters i made in the spring. and they’re not that hard to make, takes about a day, depending on my hands. so yay?

starting a young democrats chapter is going to be exciting and difficult. oh, well. might be worth it. organizing a baracktoberfest event. working on expanding the peace center’s opt-out program to 10 area school districts. w00t! been working on roeder watch more than gay kansas. *that’s* something interesting …
